I have not been over to the river for 2 weeks and am getting jittery. Must mean I need a fishin fix. Will be taking care of this problem Sunday morning. Hows the action been on pool 4&5 the last few days? What kind of fishies have been hungry lately. What have they been hungry for? Where are they dining at? Cant wait to offer them a completely free buffet.

    Thanks

Just a quick report here from pool 4….I have only talked to a handful of boats the last week here. Most people are launching elsewhere, so I haven’t got a bunch of people to base a report on, but overall the bite seems to have slowed down. There are still some nice sauger/walleye being caught, but you have to look for em. I am still seeing some 12-18 fish limits of sauger/walleye being caught at the dam, so the are still up there to be caught. The white bass are a hit and miss thing right now. I think they’re waiting for the water to warm up again is my opinion…??? So is the fishing great???? No. But it’s not bad either I guess, is a good way to put it. Good Luck and let us know how you do. Thanks.

Things kind of picked up a bit for me on wed as well. I targeted an area down around the lake and got in to some good fish. No pig’s biggest being 21″. All fish came on 3-ways and crawlers for me on wed.

Tues night I landed a nice 18″ smallie throwing a top water bait to a current break along some shoreline rip rap. The bite is getting more consistent as we move along in to the warmer weather for numbers and size.

Good luck! Let us know how you do.

Not a lot of guys out on pool 5 this week. the few I have talked to report that the sauger are starting to get more active and a few post-spawn walleyes are showing up on wing dams.try floating crawlers. Not real hot but better than watching golf on TV
