I see photo’s of fish that are taken away from the water, for the picture. My question is thats got to be hard on the fish, does this harm them? I have caught a walleye whose eye’s were discolored instead of a glassiness they were very dull.

This fish gets caught to start with, then gets put in the livewell. We all know how the boats rock back and forth, this fish is in the livewell getting knocked around. Then go to shore running at a good speed, after how long in the livewell, and walk to where ever you take the photo’s. Then take the fish back to the river/lake to let go again. Just wondering what people thought. Is this good for the fish? I think they should be photoed and released right away.

You’re absolutely correct ! A fish begins a downward spiral as soon as it leaves the water and is held vertical !! Stress is the cause of most fish mortality. Every one needs to be mindfull of this! and take better care. People should treat them as a resource-renewable or not.
