For those that fish Pool 9 is the grass still coming downriver in the Blackhawk, Minnesota Slough area? Earlier post comments were that it was a problem, but have’t seen any info lately.
    Thanks for any replies.

Was fishing around Lansing Saturday and Sunday, didn’t notice alot of grass and I was trolling for a few hours Saturday afternoon, caught two small walleyes. Sunday I broke out the jigs and minnows and hit the deeper holes, sauger after sauger, 13-14 inchers, with one walleye around 3lbs. Kept six saugers for the pan and they were chuck full of shad. Grass didn’t seem to be a problem though, but I didn’t make it up to Minnesota slough though.

Grass on 9 and 8 this weekend was only a problem because it
had layered itself all over the river bottom and on almost all the rocks. Lots of it was left on shorelines as the water dropped this week….so if you like to wander down shorelines like I do and cast as you go it is a real pain in some areas. Not much floating though.

Thanks everyone for the info. Going to give it a try Thursday and see if I can find a Walleye for supper.

Well it is Friday and the grass is the worst so far this year. Both on the bottom and floating.
