I’ve been out on pool 13 twice in the last week. Both days were clear and sunny with a very light breeze. Found crappies and bluegills in the snags in the backwaters between 8 and 13 feet depending on how clean the water was. Sunday while fishing in 9 feet of water on the end of a snag my buddy hooked into a 26 1/2″ walleye on his crappie rig, was a big fat female just about as round as a football. The crappies ranged between 8″ and 12″ with one 15″. We set a 10″ limit if we keep a fish to eat. The crappies we got into were scattered, one or two here and there, keep moving around and work slow, don’t seem to like a lot of movement. Jigs or minnows didn’t seem to matter. Other than the crappies we hooked into about 5 largemouth between 12″ and 15″ ( not what we were looking for ). Also a few white bass and small sheepies ,a couple of dogfish around 24″ and a couple of bullheads. Everything seems to be biting. All I can say is have to go out and enjoy !
