Clear skies, calm winds, cooler temps, a great morning for a few hours of fishing on pool 8. There were a lot of people that felt the same way this morning. By 8 am there were 20 + boats working the water in one area of pool 8. 5/8 oz. jigs, chartruese or blue, and superdos of the same color were the most productive for todays trip. Water depths of 10-12 feet held the smaller sauger and walleye, the deeper water 16-22 held the larger fish. Two people fishing today, 50 + fish to the boat, several large northern pike to the boat. They were very active today, taking fish at or just below the surface of the water. Water levels appeared to be down a bit and the current flow seemed less than previous days. Pool 8 has a hot bite going now, give it a try.

was out today also, fished wingdams tho, caught some nice walleyes. caught a bunch of perch too, first time in some years that I caught that many on the wingdams. All fish were caught on crawlers. was a beautiful day to be on the water. good luck to all.
