A front moving in, south winds, warm temps, light rain, all the makings for a good evening on the water. Got on the water about 5:15 this afternoon. First 15 minutes 3 fish in the boat, vertical jigging, 5/8 oz, chartruese jig and superdo, 15-19 foot of water, drifting with the current, holding a position with the electric trolling motor when needed. After an hour and a half, and working through numerous short fish, 6, 15-18 inch sauger and walleye mix in the box, went shallow for bigger fish. 10 foot of water casting into 3-4 foot produced 1, 24 inch walleye, released, and called it a night. The action is good, unsettled warm weather makes it all the better.
