Hello to those Southern Boys in Lansing

Hello to those old walleye hunters down there Glenn, Lynn, Kevin and that fellow that runs the Marina. Have to report that the fishing is just as good up here in pool 8. I did make a swing down there last Saturday and found the current on the Winneshiek really bad but we did mangae a couple nice 18/19 inch eyes and a keeper sauger out of the current but between three of us. I did that by myself up here today. I think the panfishing especially crappie have you beat although it may just be that I know where to catch them here. Good fishing to all of you down there. From God’s Country to God’s Country!

Ok smarty. Glad to know you still remember us old folks down here. I went out Sunday. Didn’t fish for eyes. Went for the gills and crappie. Had a blast. Ended up in an area all by my lonesome. Couldn’t keep 2 poles going at the same time. Caught my limit. Mostly crappie. Heres to ya Tom

Fishing Machine, You have got to do something about that guy living way down south. Can’t tell you his name but his initials are Herb. I don’t think he’s going to make it to ice fishing. Glad to hear you are having fun on the water. Saw your new house out there that looks like the place to be. My son and I caught 48 keeper gills the other day and have a great crappie hole. All the kids love fish so that’s great. Take care!

Tom, glad to see you’re have some good fishing up there. According to what mom’s been getting and where, the panfish are moving into their wintering holes now or soon. Hope you have some good spots picked out. And yes, I plan to get up for some ice fishing this year. We’ll hook up for sure. You might as well know, I retired from Case Oct. 1st. Going to get some stuff around here done, do a little trapping next month then look for a part time job to stave off the bill collectors. Heading up to mom’s next week for a few days of fishing. At least that’s the way it’s supposed to happen. Let me know if you need some fishing lessons this fall. Just kidding.

You know me I’m an amature walleye fisherman and always need lessons. Though I am getting better and a lot more confident. They were saying on the radio where you’re catching fish now they will be there under the ice. Do you believe that?
