Pool 4 update

Just a quick update on upper pool 4. The phone calls are starting to come in on how things are going here so I might as well update it here. I haven’t heard of any good reports at the dam for a LONG time…..weeks! That will all change shortly, but as of now I haven’t heard of anything as far as the vertical jig bite at the dam. On the other side, there are very few people trying it. Starting this weekend it will get busy here and i’ll have a better idea of whats going on.

The water is starting to drop again. It is still fairly muddy, but clearing. The water temp is in the low to mid 60’s. Good luck to all.

Another update. The guys coming in today reported a much better bite today than the past couple days. That’s not saying a whole lot being the bite was nearly non-existant a couple days ago, but some fish were caught today at the dam. One group had 10 “eaters” with a mix of sauger and walleye. 13-17 inchers, so nothing really big, but it’s a start. Jig and minnows and 3-ways with minnows seemed to be producing the best. Like I said, not a great bite by ANY means, but getting better……till next time. Good Luck to all.
