Chris,
Bob is dead on here for my experiences as well. I live a shaort rock toss from the Champlin public access and hit this river in my spare time…whenever that is? . But my walleye success has been pretty quiet in this section. I have boated walleyes here, but they have been fw and far between. THe times I have gottne in to them have come either trolling ranks on the outside bends looking for smallies, or anchoring up near a deeper hole north of the Champlin bridge and throwing back a split shot and crawler. As you know this catches just about every species that swims in the mighty miss but have boated a share of walleyes doing this.
Good luck to you. As Bob mentioned, be careful above the bridge as the water levels are low right now and rocks are plentiful up that way!
