We fished Redwing Tuesday and we did ok with 3 sauger and 1 eye. But the bite was slow for us and all we talked with. We are planing a trip over in the morning and are trying to decide on where to go. Has anyone been out the last couple of days? If so how was the bite? How has Alma been doing?

Were you jigging minnows or plastic, or pulling 3-ways?

Killer jigs w/minnows accounted for three sauger and ring worm was the bait on the walleye. Did not try three ways. (propally should have). We did fish the afternoon. Weather was perfect. A great day to be on the water (as they all are).

During the weekend 3-ways or handling was the ticket. That may all change for tom.

i was out yesterday at alma.arrived at 11:30am i did well. live bait and 1/2 oz. jig. started with lite and dark green fire ball with stinnger bites were short for the most part. then went to hair jig of similuar color and weight and the bite got better.current was mod. but wind was strong. depth i am guessing because when i got to the landing i remembered i left my depth finder in my other truck for walleyes 18-22′ sauger25′ -35′. i was asking. caught nice sauger from 14-20″s walleyes, lots of short fish but had 2- 24″ers and 1 22″male walleye.had another nice one to the boat but my net man missed it (i was by my self). all in all it was a good day had a 30+ fish day and warm temps. off the water at 6:30pm

Alma had a real good bite going yesterday. Lots of good saugers and few nice walleyes. Just before dark I produced sone real nice eyes. The biggest one was 22 inches. I worked the wing dams and caught at least 20 fish at each spot. Wind was tough, but going to almost a 1/2 oz. hair jig was the ticket for me. I also had the 4 year old with me yesterday and he even caught fish. With his snoopy pole just a bending he was having a blast. I came home with 6 real nice fish.

Heres my two cents, Ive been pullin 3-way for the last week, and are best luck is with a shallow reef runner around 18 ft . Drop weight is about 1 ft and lure about 5ft, if you run with line counters we did best 40-60 ft out.(now that is in the morning) when alot of boats come around it dies, switch to a phelps floater dont know why but it works in the afternoon they seemed to want the minnow.

If its slow for you this kept us reeling fish in

    Good Luck Rivertown Sports

P.S. if you try this let me know what your favorite colors are.
