    Hi all,

Is Goose Lake considered part of the Mississippi River and therefore a fishing license from MN is valid to fish there even though it is on the WI side? Sorry in advance if this sounds like a dumb question, but I’ve asked two folks and got three answers and would rather spend my money of fishing gear instead of fishing fines.

Correct me if I’m wrong , but Goose lake is closed for spawning part of the spring time. Like I said I may be wrong.

As long as you are on then MN side of the WI train tracks. You are in nutrual waters. The same goes for the WI anglers. As long as they are inisde the tracks they are fine. As far as Goose Lake haveing restrictions I didn’t see it in the MN regs. But check with the WI DNR regs. Play it safe and good luck.
