Anybody have any recent reports from pool 5? Are there fish being caught? Intriguing minds want to know…….
Also anybody know if you can get a boat to the main channel from west newton right now? Or any other landing from the MN side?
Reports from the bait shop is that they have been getting some nice walleyes down river. Mostly from trolling side cuts. Wingdams have also producing. As far as bass…….they are everywhere.
I have been on Lake Pepin all summer. All this info is second hand. I will be back on Pool 5 come fall. Too much fun on the Lake and Lower 4 still.

You know that Monday night at the meeting it will get changed to pool 4 anyway.

My good man, I can say that I and another member just got back from pool 5. We had a day of fishing and seeings how I am not in the next tourney you’ll have to wait to see if he’ll tell you I would be dam if he’ll let me say and you may have to wing it. Nice thing is there are plenty of beaches in pool 5. I can say that the rods were bent quite a few times and the net went into the water a few times. The area is pool 5 and we did elminate a few of the normal patterns. Try some unusal things for the fish. I’ll be spinning by the meeting to see who draws whom. The water is in better shape than last year and I can tell you it will be a good weight that takes it.
