eyes bass &gills

Been fishing a little all over these last two weekends, just having a blast..the holiday weekend I fished pool 5 was on a decent walleye bite throwing silver or gold blades and firetiger crank baits…

Mixed it up a few days and chased gills..

This past friday had possibly the best bass day for size and numbers in a few years..roughly 25fish up to four and a half pounds with none under two…spro frogs were hot baits

Here is my buddy Phil with a few dandies he got in on with me..all bass were released

Always fun to mix it up when the waters offer you the opportunity.

Now that looks like fun! How big are those gills, they look like they got some size to them, but it is hard to tell.

I was waiting for someone to ask….the one in my right taped out right at 10 inches…didnt tape any of the others but I can tell ya they were some of the biggest gills I’ve ever caught….truly beautiful fish

Thanks guys..bass were caught on a new to me lake…did a little research on another body of water I never fished…cant wait to get on it.

Something about new water and unlocking the code is soooo exciting… …

Funny thing is…I went to that new to me lake in search of some huge crappies I caught a few winters ago but the bass stole the show..lol

Just like the lotto whats next….
