redwing water temps???

    curious as to what is the water temps these past few days down there by the dam??? I like to keep track of the water temps for my fishing journals, so all temperatures info appreciated.

    I am aware of that but I generally don’t see the spread that far apart. 4-5 degrees maybe but not in the 9-10 variance range. 35.5 was the warmest I had found.

    Thats about what we found to. 38 main channel. That will change quick this week.

    I was out on sunday and saw between 38-41. The water is rising and starting to flow pretty good.

    Another important number this time of year is the Flow,
    today it went from 27,000 to 30,000.

    It doesn’t matter if you’re catching fish.

    Sounds like a smart azz answer, but going back a couple years when the river was flooding, the locals were happy the high water and the 90,000 cfs flow was keeping everyone off the river.

    They were having a ball catching fish.

    I think more flow gets more fish moving out of Pepin, and into the river system.
    This year is at least behind in flow and temps from previous years. Most years the
    Walleye spawn is in full swing by the 2nd week in April, not this year. Temps would need
    to go up at least another 5-6 degrees. And Saugers trail a little later then the Walleyes.
