Anyone on here familiar with the dam in Bellevue Iowa. Just wondering if its fishable or if the current is cruising through there. Thinking about trying it later this week. Or possibly fishing 13 in Clinton. Never fished Bellevue before so are they biting or is it a lost cause?

It’s a good time of year to try. I heard that Dubuque was decent, Guttenberg is slow. Not sure about Bellevue. Heard they were snagging some nice spoonbills, other then that, not much noise coming from there. If I was in Clinton I would fish there. That pool has always treated me well. Good luck!

The river down here is up about a foot and a half with almost 90 for flow. Seems like it would be flowing pretty good. Might give clinton a go sometime later this week if the water levels hold steady.

It should be on the way down. At Pool 11, the river went down over a foot in the past two days, that should translate to about Tuesday for you guys on 14. Should be prime.

I hope so. I’m on vacation and wanting to spend it on the water. Chased small water crappies today and did decent. Now time for some spawning eyes.

we fished 16 yesterday without a sniff. we didn’t venture far from our normal haunts but the fish just weren’t there or were tight lipped. water is a smidge high but not that high.
