Heading down to Pool 6 saturday to avoid the crowd at Red Wing. May also try 5a if 6 is slow. Anyone have any reports from these pools from this past weekend. Also what the bite has been best on?

Yesterday I was at pool 7 below the dam and did not see a fish caught. At 11:00 am I went to Fountain City dam and fished about 1/2 mile below the dam on the top side of a wing dam. I got two 21 inch walleyes and on 14 and 1/2 inchs. Today I went to Alma and fished untill noon. Nothing doing there. I went back to Fountain City dam and fished untill 4:30. Got one 18 inch and one 15 incher. Very slow all over. I fished with a jig, 3 way, floating jig head and plain minnow. I think the water needs to come up a few degrees. Good luck

6,5a,and5 will all be packed with this warm weather. I always go way down stream and catch more anyways. Not all of the fish go up to the dam. I know a few good places on 5a and 6 but those are my secrets.
