Had the pleasure of fishing with a guide by the name of lee last sumner. We were using willow cats. Wondering if they are a good spring time bait? Wondering where to get them? I live by la crosse. Can you order them? What are the VHS laws with them?
They can produce some Spring bites, IF you find them. Check with Scott at Bob’s Bait(French Island Bait and Tackle). He usually has willow cats, but it’s probably too early. But at least you’ll be able to find out when he’ll have them. Run about $18-$20 a dozen.
I don.t think you will be able to find any commercially but Lee may have a few holdovers from last fall.
