    IN the last week, pool 4 is showing a daily flow rate increase,
    and now is just about double what it was last Monday;

    How’s the fishing this weekend, better catch rate?
    dirtier water? More Saugers showing up?
    Things should really get going I’d think really soon.
    Thanks,
    Jack

    New to the Mississippi River walleye fishing. A couple of questions to ask. What is the advantage of having the river flow up and wanting water clarity to drop? When this happens does the fishing get better?

    Moves fish to less flow areas hence groups fish tight together. Not spread out in all part of the river. Dirty water helps with reaction bites and day time bite windows.

    Thanks cedar. I assume you want to fish the slake water seams from the main current and look for warm water in the shallows. I’m not much in using live bait but I would assume plastics and cranks would work just as good with fishing them slow? If not, I guess I will need to get my hand wet in the minnow bucket. Whatever it takes to get a nice fish.
