I’m interested in either the G Loomis NRX 822S SYR 6’10” in Mag Medium action or the Walleye Series WPJR 822S GLX 6’10” in Medium action. My intention is to use this rod for pitching jigs & blades as well as ocassionally vertical jiging. Have any of you had experience with either? Price is not an issue either way. I do have a 6’10” MLXF Legend Xtreme that I do not care for.

I have both along with some GLX’s.
The NRX is the bomb. Used 1st time on LOTW last year. Jigged, used a few blades and also rigged with the 822. Just absolutely fell in love with it.
Trying to figure out how to get 2 more NRX’s into my collection and sell the rest.
Just one mans opinion, but think that most who have experienced might agree.

I use the wpjr 821 for casting and vertical jigging, and you will have a hard time prying it out of my hands. Awesome rod when you put a shimano stradic ci4 on it!

The LE MLXF makes a nice live bait rigging rod. Just a little to light for pitching & little too long for vertical in my opinion.

For what its worth…. the xtreme 6’10 was and is one of my most recommended blade rods…pitching.
The nrx 822 you mentioned is nothing short of amazing for a jig rod….but it just doesn’t fish blades the way I want it to. So I use both.
The new NRX 76 is quickly becoming my new go to blade rod. For big fish and additional length to assist with the fall rate of the blade…….this rod is hands down the nicest & lighest 76 I have EVER had in my hands….

I would be interested in your legend extreme if you decide to get rid of it
