Well the boat is almost ready to go. Just gotta charge the batteries. Looking to fish below dam 15 sometime this week depending on the river level. Looking to launch out of bettendorf/davenport. Anyone interested in trying it. I have never been down there so it will be a learning experience for me. Shoot me a pm if your interested in fishing this week.

Rollers are open. River is up 2ft. And the visibility is about 2 inches. Sauger fishing by the dam is done.

What boat were you in? I was down there for a while and didn’t see any fish caught. Only 3 boats fishing the IL lock, one for sure snagging.

there was a pontoon that showed up about 15 minutes before we left. i’m pretty sure they were snagging.

we started around 6 on the iowa side, caught a few drum. 2 other boats showed up.

we moved to the illinois side, had no problem staying put but weren’t catching anything, so we went over to the wall where we drifted from the 1400 mark all the way to the 1600 mark and started catching fish immediately. we caught about 5 eyes/saugers with only 1 of them keepable. we caught about 10-15 drum. lots of bites. they were hitting real short. got super dirty in there so we left. gorgeous day and we tried to feed the eagle in the tree above us a few drum and he’d take off, circle around but either wussed out or was like, “i don’t eat drum either”

we used live bait and they were ripping off the tails and biting short. i assume most were small though or drum though.

The Drum bite is as hot as I’ve ever seen it. If you’re not out there, you’re missing out.

Went out snagging today by 13. Snagged a few spoonies. Then switched over to eyes early afternoon. Caught a few sauger nothing big. Biggest was about 17″. Gonna hit it again later this week if the water levels cooperate with me.

16 got even more dirty the last 2 days. Pure mud. Up to 8ft and supposed to stay around that level for a while.

The small rivers are flooding and dumping into the Miss.
