well this really goes againgst my better judgement especially during tourney months, but my dad wants to go walleye fishing tomorrow (friday). i live in hastings and he lives in prescott. i fish the river lots, but only for bass. dad has been working to much and we didnt get to get out this spring when you can get-em pretty good in front of the docks in prescott. since that is really the only time i fish for anything but grass carp im in trouble. any advice for me and dad? whats hot now? dont give me any of your “spots” just a few hints and ill try to put it together. thanks guys

The wing dams just south of prescott are good too.

You may, or may not, get good action on the wing dams. They have been pretty fussy lately. If you find one or two that are on good but maybe to much risk for a Dad trip.
Another option would be the Croix. It’s about time for some decent action just above the highway bridge in Prescott. They have been gettin them there. You could still try the Kinni are, both top and bottom. Bring bait. If you just want to catch fish I agree with Dave. Pool 2 is about as guaranteed as it gets. Good luck.

Bring a couple different baits if you can. Minnows and one of the others. For me it’s hard to beat crawlers but others have better days on leaches. One thing you might want to consider as well is lately a hook and splitshot sometimes outperforms jigs. Good luck. I have been neglecting the Croix lately for the miss so I don’t have any fresh info for you.
