So my south dakota plans got cancelled this weekend, so I am looking to try something new.

Has anyone been out on Pepin that could give a report or maybe some advice? Ive fished soft water on it, but no hard water.

About the only advice I could give is go to a different lake/river…unless you’re taking the boat, then Red Wing is where you want to be.
Lake Pepin has about the worst ice fishing IMO…and I’ve lived near it for 50 years…

If you have a boat put in at everets. The walleyes and sawgers are STACKED in there. It’s a lot easier than drilling 50 holes to find active fish.

If you have a wheeler you can head out of maiden rock wi, and head out from there, lots of ice, and snow, fishing been pretty slow but it changes by the day
