Nobody took me up on the open seat today. They missed out. Started around 12:00 at theY with only a few fish. Seen a few caught too. Moved up to the dam and found fish right away. Fished seemed to be around the 20 ft mark. Lots of boat out in the scour hole. Mostly dinks seen caught. Remember those fish will swim away and come floating up later in the deep water it is best to move shallower and not kill everything you catch. I vertical jigged day all with flukes. It is important to keep the lines perfectly vertical to catch these fish. Holding the rod and not jigging too. Less is more. Most people I saw we’re using meat and catching smaller fish or jigging a lot . Plastics are all you need plus saves the hands from getting wet. Also nice not wasting time re baiting. Ended the day with 50 fish boated most in the 14-18″ range with few smaller fish. Size was good today. Decided to quit at 50 as the bite slowed a bit at 5pm. All in all a good day to be out. Last time for awhile as it looks in the forecast for sub zero temps for a week or so.
