12/18 Report

Launched out of Evert’s late yesterday afternoon (4:30pm) to check out the bite after dark. Yes, the ramps are open! Dragging jigs picked up several before it got dark. After dark I caught nothing but my fishing partner managed to pick up a few more. The bite slowed after dark and did not pick up even when the moon came up. Stayed out until about 8:00. The water has not cleared up very good yet, after it clears up a little more the night bite should pick up.

Did the ice and frozen foam clear out? We were catching fish Monday night but the frozen foam got to be too much. Hope to try again soon. Thanks to Steve and Kari for all their hard work keeping things open so we can get out

There was still a little foam but most was not frozen. Later in the evening skim ice was forming fast in the calm area by the “Y” on the lock side.
