Well think the river is going to close up on us for awhile with the cold coming through, gave it one last go tonight for a few hours. Clouds were ticking the buildings when I started, and by the time I left you couldn’t see the tops of any of them, love when the sky drops down on us. Fish didn’t want anything fancy, been a really tough fall bite where just live bait on a small hook and split shot does the trick. Next fishing trip will have to be up in Monticello.

We can keep walleyes on that pool now?

Always have, above st.Anthony falls. Just finding them gets tricky, not nearly the populations that its more southern counterpart has.

Yesterday was a fantastic fishing day on the river. Those light winds mixed in with some snow every now and again made for a perfect last trip of the year. Glad to see we where not the only ones out enjoying it.

Every time it snows like it is now I dream about your guys video catching all those hog walleyes in the snowstorm. That was such a sweet video, wish I could have tied into a big eye, but it was a beautiful night downtown on the river either way.

Was hoping for another trip like that in the conditions yesterday. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes not. Tempting to go again today. Other than a little snow to deal with it looks pretty nice out.
