This is quite possibly the last limit of my open water season. Even lucked out and got some quality Crappies too. Largest went just over 14″. Thought they were baitballs on the fishfinder. By the time I wised up and got a few in the livewell, they had moved on.
The eyes up here aren’t gorging yet, but everyone had something different in its belly. One had two small sunnies, another what appeared to be a baby pike. Found one with a baby flathead?
Water temps. up here are just above 40* and slow movement was the key. Nothing wanted the bait still, but moving at .3-.6 mph produced some throttling strikes.
