Played hookie from work and headed to pool 4 early this after noon. Made a quick stop at Everts for some hardware and a update from Steve and headed up stream…we found the bite to be enough to keep us interested.. blade baits in chrome (silver) and also gold ….moxies gold glitter put a few in the boat as well..we didn’t hammer’em by no means, and also saw other boats doing OK also..

Highlight of the day was this beauty of a channel cat caught on a blade bait.. (yes in the mouth)..lol..

All fish caught for us were sauger..no eyes

Ps..nice to meet ya “Farmer” and thanks a million for borrowing me your anchor…

So how long did you think you had a state record wallaby going there?

Sounds like a fun trip. Louis, was that you fishing by me at the mouth of the Vermillion last Sunday morning? I thought I knew you from IDO but I couldn’t put a name to your face. I love reading your reports—you put the hurt to the fish Next time I hope to remember your name but at my age there is no guarantee!! Take care!

No doubt.. at Hookset I said to my buddy “here we go”. After the second run I mumbled..”expletive carp”.then she came to the surface and destroyed my net..

In Rednecks case it’s the second to last to go…I read it on the internets.

Save that channel cat slim. Works great for chapped lips!
