Headed down to Everts to meet up with Steve to do a little fishing in the afternoon. The first spot we tried had a few nicer eyes and sauger with some shorts mixed in. Hit up a few other spots found fish in most spots but only a few holding quality fish. 3/8 oz to 5/16 jig and a fathead worked slow seemed to work the best with a blade bait being a close second. Firetiger and black seemed to be the best colors for us found most fish in 10 to 18 fow.

Oh, that’s what a 13″ plus sauger looks like.

I made it out Sunday for a while and the bite was much improved over Saturday. I pulled decent fish on jig and minnow and got a few to even go on plastics. What was the water temperature yesterday. I had 52.6 Sunday morning. It won’t be long now until the chew is on!!!!!!!!!
