Holy wind Batman!I not sure,is it always this windy in the spring? My memory eludes me sometimes. We were trying to fish pool 4 Saturday, and pool 5 Sunday, but the dang ‘ol wind was never ending. You know it’s windy when you get passed by a sailboat while on your way to the hot spot!

Hey if you wanted to see wind you should have fished the USFA last year April 7 the wind was up to 50 mph gust and there were true 4 foot waves at haycreek…I was there…so this weekend was a joy…Walk in the park..Mild breeze…

You all need bunny hats if you were cold…..

it wasn’t the coldness just the putting up with the constant attention to the boat control part of it.

Well I tried one on once, But I’m to short it didn’t fit…

Serious though yes I have and use drift socks..But mostly in the lake the current can make them tough to use not saying you can’t use them in current…

so you don’t use one on the river then? how much wind does there have to be for it to be effective, are they a hassle to set up or not? sorry for all the ?’s

Say ReefRunner our anyone with the exp. with wind socks .When anchoring in the current, one anchor, and the wind is blowing you around so that you aren’t staying in the spot to make that cast that you think that is needed would a wind sock help ???? Is thier a certian size that would be better ?? I was thinking it would steady up the back end of the boat when fishing wing dams and such?? Bass Bull

WAS ON POOL 4 AT 2PM SUN. WINDY WAS NOT THE RIGHT ADJ. HAD MY KIDS WITH ME TO SPEND THE LAST PART OF THE DAY FISHING. HAD TO USE THE BIG MOTOR ALL THE TIME AND THE KIDS LASTED TWO HOURS. BUT THE BITE WAS REAL STRONG. BOATED 20-30 FISH BIGEST 26″ IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT ONLY WISH THE KIDS DID NOT GET COLD! STICK WITH IT.
