Spent the weekend on Pool 4, staying close to Everts as I couldn’t make any long runs…seems someone forgot to put gas in the boat I was planning on locking up to Pool 3 to play on some wing dams but that just wasnt going to be an option.

Found temps warmer than I would like but also found a smorgasbord of fish species on the chew. Casting cranks and puls r’s to rocks found plenty of crappies. I think if one was targetting them with downsized plastics or event bobber fishing for them it would be very productive.

Pulling lead core found channels, walleyes, sheapshead, and a very respectable flathead all smashing shad style crankbaits.

Temp needs to drop about another 10 degrees to be ‘full-on’ but I am not complaining on what the bite is like.

As far as saugers…..Well, Im not telling

    Thanks Wes,

If I don’t get any sturgeon trips (on the St Croix) this coming weekend I’m going to be nosing around in those same areas.

63/64 degrees on Saturday evening. I didn’t get a reading this morning.
