Vermillion River

Anybody fish the Vermillion much during the summer? I have only ever been out there in the fall. I am wondering how much action there is through the summer months….

This is usually the time I fish the confluence of the Vermillion and Clear Lake. Trolling Shad Raps across the mouth is very effective for eyes, and a few pike. Even with the water being high, I have a buddy who has done pretty good down there as of late. You can launch in Etter with small boats.

Thanks Tuck. I may give it a shot this weekend. The Croix is really starting to get busy with big boats. I would guess I’d probly have the Vermillion pretty much to myself.
