Pretty quiet with the lack of posts on P2. Anybody out lately? Fall is around the corner, and with the colder temps here, I bet it won’t belong before the river begins a good coll down…

P2 Saturday morning was a rough one for me. Water varried, but average was 70-72 Degrees still. IMO, still a bit dirty. I can’t quite understand why such the dirty water yet (with no rain)? Secci-jig reading was about 2-5 inches. I hadn’t been out in a long time (on P2), so it was just nice being out with the planes, trains, gunshots, sirens, and foul-smells of that part of town again. I can tell you that it was a lonely place at 6:30 AM. I only saw 5 other fishing boats when I left at 10:30. ….It will get better though.

Tyler and I were down on P2 Saturday morniing at about 8:30. We fished for about 4 hours. We caught around 7 small walleyes, one sauger, a couple whities and a few sheepies.

    It’s getting close.

Glad to hear someone is still getting out down there. Think its been a few weeks for me. Might have to try to make it a afternoon later this week.

I’m headed down this afternoon. Jeez I haven’t been out on the river in a long, long time.

Hit Pool 4 last Thursday. Dead sea for me. I’ll keep trying, though.

I was out on Saturday too. 4 walleyes, 4 smallies including a pool 2 PB 19.25″, a couple northerns, and a few sheepies. Firetiger was working. Still a few tuna boats out.

Not for me. Was out Sunday on Pool 4; red wing area. A few crappies. No luck on cranks. And many, many tuna boats. Whew.

Was thinking of heading out this week, but think I will go catch some nice gills on a lake up north instead. Anybody try the night bite yet? Mike, when does this start up? I cannot remember last year when the fall pattern went into effect and plastics was the meal of choice for the big girls in the area. With the cooler temps we had last week, the water temps had to have taken a dive. Isnt it mid Oct when the evening bite gets going? Or can you start finding some of the eyes at this time of year in the shallower water?

It wouldn’t surprise me to see some sort of low light bite going right now with a few biting through the night.

Was out Sunday afternoon for a while. The wind was challenging but managed a few walleyes. Plenty of sheep and bass action. Still 66-67 degree water temp.

Water temps 65-66 yesterday. They are heading in the right direction. Think we ended up with close to 15 walleyes/saugers for the afternoon. Most we found trolling cranks. Did find a few on the wing dam tips to. Not to bad of a bite for not being out on pool 2 for close to a month. Seemed pretty typical for this time of year.
