    Hi All,

I made it out to Pool 4 this last Sunday and what a tough day! I was hoping with the good chop on the lake that long lining some cranks could do the trick. I was only able to find a few small drum and white bass. I then worked the Point No Point area. No luck there either so I decided to head up stream. I was able to find a few shorts long lining cranks on a steep rock break, the biggest at 17 inches. I then worked various spots all the way up to the dam with little to no success trolling and dragging jigs/crawlers. There were not many people out from what I could see. Maybe everyone is waiting for the fall bite before heading out.

    Tight lines!

At least two of the guides out of Everts have been doing well. Not sure if they are fishing in those locations though…

I was out Sunday, too. Out of Baypoint. Trolled cranks up to the dam and all I caught were some sticks/snags, so you did better than I did. Switched over and tried to see if I could find some crappies and…2. So, real slow. Hoping the ‘fall bite’ turns on soon.

The natives get all restless when I start posting spots…there’s not that many walleyes or places to fish on P4.

Besides, I don’t know anything about any scaly fish, besides there should be a bounty on them.

Back to the sturgeon forum for me.

Maybe a quick stop into Everts to talk to Steve might have gotten you pointed in the right direction. Bites pretty tough but there is definitly fish to be caught
