The Boy and I found time to fish for a couple hours Friday afternoon and it was a really good time. We got 8 walleye all over 15 inches and 4 of them over 20 inches. The fish I am holding in the picture are a double. Chris got a good hit and said he was going to need the net. I had just cast out my jig and crawler and so I held the rod tip up and reached over with my other hand and before I could grab the net my rod got hammered. The boy had his back to me and asked if I was going to get the net and I told him we have a small problem. He looked over and saw my rod bent over and he netted his fish—shook it out of the net in the bottom of the boat and then netted mine. Mine was the 24 and his was the 22 in the picture. I don’t know if it is the cooler summer we have had so far or what but these walleye do not look as skinny as most August wing dam walleye. It was a fun couple hours—I guess I don’t have to give up on walleye and become a cat guy yet

Ummm..in that outfit you couldn’t get by as a cat guy.

AND if you were any kind of Dad, you would have netted Jr. fish first.

I know, no pink anywhere so how could it be a catfishing outfit. BK, you don’t understand how the game is played. I raised my boy right and now he takes care of the old man when we are out in the boat. I spent enough years taking care of him and now he can return the favor

Nice double, Rich! If you were going to the “Redneck” look, I think you nailed it!
