The winds made it real tough to fish either effectivly, thus no fish boated for me at either spot in the last 3 days. There were a lot of boats scattered from the dam all the way down to Coleville today.

I wandered down below the bridge, fished a bit this afternoon and then headed down below Colville to the head of the lake. Two boats there, but no fish. It was blowing something awful, so the only presentation that might have worked was a heavy anchor and with a hook attached.

I’ll have to say, though, that ringworms are fabulous even without a pro in the boat. I fished most of the day without a minnow. Had to go to a 3/8 jig because of the wind, but I landed a few saugers and one small walleye that way. Great success later in the day, compared to a number of other boats. One guy had been completely skunked and I was fishing in the same area and catching. Slow, but not terrible up by the Y.

I admit I did not give ringworms much of a try… but like you say… we seemed to outfish the minnow crowd… which was pretty much everyone else… plus there were some trollers… I just did not see many nets out…. we should have did better than we did… but we did land 7 pretty nice fish for 2 of us….. plus one channel cat about 3 pounds *pounded* a superdoo…..
