Pepin?

I am heading over to pepin tomorrow morning. I have not been able to fish pepin yet this year.. Planning on pulling some cranks to start with. Has anyone been having any luck on pepin lately?

We were there last Tues/Weds and did a lot of trolling in the lake and in the river below Pepin. It was slow for us and never did put a patern together. The water was clear enough so don’t know why we did’nt do better. We caught some nice crappie and bluegill and tons of drum casting the shore line above Lucopolis and up where the creeks flow in on that side.

Can I report what I graphed instead of what we caught?

I was out there Saturday with the family for a few hours. We pulled a tube around, even took some extended family out for a pleasure cruise, but never wet a line.

There was a serious hatch that was coming off still from the day/night before. Big browns too, leaving some pretty serious floating slicks. Everyone I talked to at the launch shared pretty poor results, even the few that I trusted.

There were alot of fish scattered on the WI side across from Hok-si-la and Lake City in 16 – 18FOW….looked like a pretty good trolling run in the making. That’s also where I saw the largest concentrations of flies however.

Good luck if you get out. All the big points that were getting wind had fish on them as well.
