I will be hitting lake pepin for the first time, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as far as a depth range to try, and any kind of general areas to try as well. just trying to put a few fish in the boat. we will be trolling but will also bring the spinning gear. thank you in advance for any info you can give!

Spent last Sunday afternoon on Pepin. Pulled crawlers and leeches around in 15′- 20′ for a couple of hours and caught a couple of shorts. Decided to pull cranks and cover some ground and that kept me busy. Trolled in 12′- 15′ and caught white bass, sheepies, a nice sauger and 3 eater walleyes. Blue was a good color for me. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply!! Was wondering if anyone was going to post. Is there a landing that you would suggest to get to some fish able water pretty easily?

There are two public landings in or near Lake City. Roschen Park is public right in town and at the lakes center. Nice ramp. Safe. The other is north of lake City on Highway 61 a mile, just past the entrance to Hok-Si-La park. I’d use the one in town.
