First off Nick – welcome to IDO!

I applaud your willingness to share this information with us, and truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to answer other questions here thus far as well. An educated and informed angler base makes for a better fishery statewide, and I’m of the opinion that we’re all partners in improving the resource together. Thanks again for helping everyone work in that direction.

Wonder if some fo the same things are happening on pool 2 and the croix? With talking to many anglers from both of those areas there is a large drop in the number of saugers we are catching. Then again last summer is the 1st time I have caught sunfish on wingdams on pool 2. Now this year is the 1st I have started seeing Zebrea muscles on pool 2. Caught some on each of my last two trips and on spots miles apart.

(I’ve been catching and releasing every Sauger caught this year. Like most, I’ve really notice a drop-off on numbers this year compared to last year or even 2 or 3 years ago )

Thanks for sharing the information. We appreciate your response and the attached info. If you would like to come talk to the Frontenac Sportsman’s Club some time, it would be greatly appreciated. We have a large group and always interested in info like this and we also have in the past dontated money to assist in Fisheries Studies (Telemetry studies years back), and we would always be interested in assisting financially again.
