Pool 4 Bite

How has the bite been on Pool 4/Lake Pepin area? Thinking about making a last minute trip up there this weekend.

if you know the lake you should be just fine. I was out last weekend and caught plenty of eater size fish (all released) doing a few different presentations. if your looking for sheephead they are certainly around too good luck and let us know how ya do!

Made it out Saturday night for about 4 hours. Caught and released 1 20in. eye. Pretty slow night. I was long-lining Shad raps in about 17ft. of water on the Wisconsin side near Maiden Rock. I am relatively new to fishing Pool 4 so any tips or sharing of hot spots would be much appreciated.

Dont be afraid to fish shallow in that area. With the dark water I have been able to find many more fish in the 8-12 ft range than I have out deeper. I have also found that it helps to cover a lot of water out there. Troll faster, up to 3 mph to find some fish and cover a few miles.
