Took half the day off today and made it down to P2. I fished some of the high water a couple of weeks ago, but took some time off until it receded and thought today would be a good day. I was surprised to see full trees laying on some of my favorite wing dams, shorelines changed and using the side scan and down scan, seeing new structure, some small rocks now exposed on the bottom in areas I fished before and never saw, and sand deposits in some areas that created some new current breaks for eyes to hide. Again, I could not get anything pitching jigs and only got some by trolling cranks. We fished from 2-6:30pm. We only boated 6 fish with about a 23″ being the biggest. I was surprised that they were still hitting in the 5-9 fow. A couple did come from a WD, but found most scattered along some shallow areas inside current seams. Rainbow colored cranks were the flavor of choice. Back to the Croix next for a quick meal!
