Not quite as many walleye today, but 5-7# northerns, crappies, and bass made up some of the slack. All in 6-9 foot of water all on either jig and minnow or “riggin jiggin” rig. 3-4 inch chubs were a bust today. Flatheads were by far the best.
We did have something very strange happen today though. we had at least 20 fish hook-up and then get off?? We tried stinger, smaller jig, “jiggin-riggin” ,(so that one half of the presentation was just a a hook and a Minnow),moving faster-deeper,criss crossing in every direction and fish still kept getting off. The rods weren’t in my hand when the numerous fish got off, but I did notice some really interesting nips the short time I was holding a pole. Heck I even made sure the hooks were sharp?????
