Had a fun day today with the Walleye. Live baited,(customer’s suggestion), an area that has been giving up crank and and plastic fish. It was second day of two day trip and fish were caught on 3 inch suckers and bigger flatheads on 1/4 oz jigs . Caught 12-13 fish in four or so hours in early morning with customers keeping 7 eaters. Sometimes they crushed them and sometimes they had to feed it to them. Fish bit on casts and swims, drags and jigging.
One of the fish came by tossing in the middle of feeding white bass. The walleye was right below them cleaning up the scraps. We could see 3 feet down in the morning and the wind and current changed and in the afternoon the water was very stained.. almost muddy. Anyway we got bass also today, but couldn’t get northern in the 35 or so minutes we tried for them back in a slough. It was pretty muddy today and we weren’t able to site fish for the N.Pike like we could just a few days ago.
