Anyone been out this week? Wondering what ramps are open? Hoping to get out early Sunday morning for a little while.

I am hoping to head down there tomorrow. I had been planning all week to take today off and hit the P2, but gosh dang work has me tied up!
I bought a new St. Croix walleye trolling rod 9′ with an Okuma reel and another new DAIWA DXW 8′ Telescoping Walleye Trolling Rod Model DXW80TMHFB with another Okuma reel. Really jacked to get the line wet on these. Dont quite need these long of rods on the Sippi, but they work great on the Croix/Mille Lacs open basin crankin when fishing with more guys and wanting to troll four lines.

I was out 2 days ago – Lions is open and in good shape. Water is very dirty, temps in the high 70’s low 80’s.

Bite was pretty slow, though it was my first trip out in almost a month.

Isn’t it a mud bowl because of sediment and runoff? I don’t think they would clear that up?

Yes, sediment from the MN River is the main culprit for the muddy water far and away. Zebras are filter feeders though, they don’t really have a choice on what they eat, it’s whatever is in the water that passes through them. I’m not saying they are going to make the water clear as gin, but they aren’t going to hurt the situation any in terms of clarity!

I snooped down at 494 an hour ago. Water has really dropped and ramp looks to be in very good shape.
