Where Do White Bass Go?

    Any place they want based on the first 8 tracking results from the tagged White Bass.

    Here’s a note from the MN DNR:

    We have had 8 tag returns from anglers and a number of tag returns from other sampling we have done with the DNR.

    So far we have seen quite a bit of movement in fairly short periods of time. We have several fish both from anglers and our East Metro DNR crew that have been caught near the Apple River above Lake St Croix about 2 weeks after they were tagged below Lock and Dam #3.

    We also got a return early this week from an angler near Camp LaCoupolis at the foot of Lake Pepin.

    How many river miles is that? That’s one ambitious fish!

    From Lock and Dam #3 to the Kinni is 23. I’m not sure how far the Apple River is from there. 15ish??

    Its approx. 22-25 miles from Prescott to Stillwater alone. It’s amazing they made it that far without any fish ladders isn’t it?

    Were the fish caught below lock and dam 3 ? Kinda vague on that

    Nope pretty clear they were caught below the dam. I think you confused him. The FW will probably set him straight.
