    I had a chance to get back out on pool 2 recently. It has been over a month since my last pool 2 trip. A quick read through the recent posts, and a stop at Joes to add a few of the smash shads to my stock pile of baits and I was on my way. This was my first time to see the smash shad in action. I was impressed. The bait casted well and ran true. The most productive color for Cal and I was hot blue shad followed by chrome clown both in a size 6. Most of our fish came from 5-8 f.o.w. Notice how one of fish ate the bait. Here are a couple pics.

    Going off your guys suggestions and lack of funds to go get a bunch of new lures, put on a shiny blue jig with ripple powerbait minnow white and smoked the fish this afternoon. Figured blue was the color and the smash shad gives off some good thumps as does the ripple bait, probably helped out the weather in keeping them closer to shore for me too. A few walleyes and some SMB in a matter of a couple hours after a early work day. Thanks for the tips!!

    Water temp was in the upper 50s to low 60s depending on where we were.

    Between your report and Pete’s, I figured I better stock up on the Smash Shads. Cranks…gotta have atleast one of each.
