I am interested in trying out the backwaters of Pool 3 that are often talked about here such as North Lake, and Vermilion(Blackbird), etc. I have no idea where they are located, or even how to get there. I know there is a launch at North Lake, but I don’t know how to get there. Can you get to the other spots in the back waters from there, in a large, deep 19 footer, or is it shallow? I know you can get back in there from the river, but it is shallow they say. I was looking at possibly hitting one of these spots this weekend, is that a possibility from shore or a boat?Is the fishing any good this early? Anyone out there in the know, could you fill me in on this? Thanks in advance.
