stop at Everts resort, buy bait and talk to whoever is behind the counter. You will get up to the minute info and get a new friend.

We were down on wednesday fished for 6 hours and only caught one sheephead. We tried by the dam, nothing, we did the clam beds, but current was to strong, went down by hay creek and marked a bunch but no biters. I asked the same question on tuesday and the best answer I got was go find a lake and do some pan fishing.

I wish I would have taken that advice. The water is really high the clarity is very poor and who knows where all the fish went. Good Luck and be safe down there.

I would think if you strike out on the eyes one could still find a few willing white bass to get your fix.
