Pool 2

I know there are many guys on this site that as soon as they saw “Pool 2” as the topic, they clicked on it hoping for a report or some good news. Nope, not from me. I have the boat all set and ill be out hard next week giving it a go two to three times next week searching my big girls. Anybody hear anything out there about pool 2? Saw a few reports a while back, but it has been pretty quiet on here…

You have been hearing crickets because the bite has been tougher than Chuck Norris. 34.5 degree water temps on Saturday. For the past two weeks it has been a fish here, and a fish there. Short flurries during prime time, and that’s it.

Well, once we get some of this snow melting and runoff, and with the higher temps next week, that should begin to warm things up, turn things on and end this cricketfest. I am fine with one here and there…that’s what makes it challenging

Gave the dam a try yesterday. Still very slow fishing. 1 northern and 1 duck. That was it. 35 degree water temps still. Got a feeling those walleyes are wondering the same thing we where. “What the Heck is going on”. Still great to be out on the water.

How bad was the current, debris and is the island gone yet ?

Current not bad at all. Island still a good 3 to 4′ out of the water.

Heading to p2 tomorrow despite the horrible reports, I feel an added challenge to produce . Either way sounds like the weather is gonna be perfect. I fell with this crazy winter when the switch is flipped it will be short lived week tops.
