Had a very successful morning at Prescott Monday.
Had 5 15-17″ eyes and saugers by 8. Got up at 5:30 and saw that there wasn’t a cloud in the sky so I took off. Stayed at 5 (on purpose) for a long time trying to catch the “big one”. Ended up loosing her at the side of the boat,
Saw a guy get busted for an overlimit. I…..suspect…someone called it in. The boys went right to him. Through all the other fisherman that were down there. So someone was watching.
As soon as the big boats showed up the fishing ended.
I was fishing with 2 poles and had so many doubles on it was a blast.

Were you using jig/minnow in the docks area? I tried some of the backwater areas downriver on Sunday for a couple of hours with limited success. Sounds like you had a great day. Good job!

Chappy , Were you in a red Lund , if so were you the the gentlemen that I talked to right at the docks and gave me the tip on split shot and a plain hook? I was in a dark grey Alumicraft.

I keep reading articles and try to figure out who people are on the river. I still don’t know if was you , the guy I talked to had someone get in his boat from another boat while I was there. Otherwise like I said I have a Alumicraft w/120 Evinrude on it say hello if I run into you.
    Good luck!!!

I should have came down there yesterday. I blew my whole wad on the Kinni and got jack for it. I’m guessing it would have been slow at best after what I saw (didn’t see) at the Kinni. See you out there sometime.

Your right, it was slow. We caught 2 keeper sauger and a dink walleye and 1 sheepie in 3 hours in front of the docks. Chappy Sr.(Dad) Caught the sauger on hook and sinkers and I caught the other 2 on a jig. Current is getting pretty extreme as it’s getting hard to Vertical if you don’t have the right weights to keep in touch with the bottom. Good luck and watch for Debris!
