Been shorefishing Crosby park lately but no bites. I’ve been using heavy 1-2 oz slip sinkers, swivel, floating jighead and plastics. The river is super muddy and the current is ripping. I’m guessing the bite will pick up here pretty soon. Gonna try lipless cranks and minnows next time.

We got out this afternoon. Conditions look fantastic but the bite for us was still very slow. Joel picked up a couple of walleyes right at dark dragging ringworms on the

shoreline. Other than that it was a crappie, 1 white bass, 2 channel cats and a buffalo. The one channel cat had to be pushing over 10#s so I was happy with that.

I put in at Lillydale on Saturday right before sunset. Ran up and pitched plastics around the connie. Broke off a bunch and no fish. Lots of debris in water. I ran up further and pitched two current seams and the mouth of watergate. Finally made it up to the lock/dam. I fished all around the lock and down to Minnehaha creek. Never had a bite. With how easy it was to catch eyes this fall, I have really struggled the two times out on P2 this spring.

Managed to get out on p2 last night. Slow start but we faired ok. the fish aren’t stacked thick but the ones up there are hungry and aggressive. Boated 8 eyes fromall solid fish with 1 healthy northern also…. used all plastics no live bait – moxi, ring worm, 5′ grub all worked none better then the other. Good luck.

The key for us was getting out of the current its flowing pretty fast find current breaks, and bends to hide behind. Easier for boat control and the feeding fish are waiting to ambush here. We were out till shortly after dark, put in around 4:15
